We had planned to do a walk from the Col du Perthus today. However when we drove there it was raining hard and the forecast didn't give any indication it was going to stop soon.
After sitting for an hour we decided to spend some time driving further north. So we drove to Mont Dore, stopping for some lunch on the way.
We checked in to Camping L'Esquiladou, set up then went for a walk into town.
The Dordogne river goes through it, but of course it's much smaller than it was further west.
There are lots of touristy shops selling local produce. We bought some dried sausage with cèpe mushrooms.
We went to an Irish bar for a drink.
For dinner later we had cod fish fingers with fried potatoes and peas.
