Arran - Day 2

We caught the bus from the end of the road to Brodick Main Street. From there we walked across the Fisherman's Path to the other side of the bay. It was a lovely sunny day and the views up to Goat Fell were great.

We started up the Goat Fell path at Arran Brewery. First it was though woodland, then open rocky hillside, gradually getting steeper the higher we got.

Eventually we made it to the top - 874 metres. The views around were great, though the was a very cold north wind.

We set off back down, We came across a slow worm on the path.

Back at the brewery we decided to wait for a bus to take us back to Brodick bus station. From there we had a bit of a wait for a bus to Lamlash.

We had a little walk at the pier, with views across to Holy Island, then decided to go for a pint in the Pierhead Tavern. They had a roof terrace and it was lovely sitting in the evening sun.

We walked back to the van and later had burger, chips and beans in the campervan for dinner.
