Scarborough - Day 4

Today we walked down the coastal path to the next resort, Filey. Since the camp site is north of Scarborough, first we had to walk past it. The tide was out when we passed the harbour.

After Scarborough the path went up along the clifftops. We caught a heavy rain shower but fortunately we had some shelter from trees.

It got a lot warmer after that. Further down we came to Cayton Bay beach which was quite busy, we had our lunch there.

There we some wartime lookout posts that presumably had been built on the clifftop, but now had ended up on the beach because of coastal erosion.

At Filey we reached the end of the Cleveland Way long distance path.

We had a little walk round Filey, but it wasn't very exciting.

We caught the bus back to Scarborough. Oscar loved sitting at the front upstairs.

At Scarborough we had time to go for a pint at the Stumble Inn, a micropub which was very nice.

We caught the X94 bus back to the site. Later we ordered a takeaway from the Scalby Manor - we both had burgers, they were very good.
