We left the house at about 10am to drive the campervan to Scarborough. On the way we stopped for lunch and a short walk at a service station off the A1.
We arrived at the Scarborough Camping and Caravanning Club site at about 4pm. After setting up we went for a walk. Just across the road is a path to the coast, then it's just under a mile to the start of Scarborough North Bay.
We walked down to the promenade and had a look at the miniature railway station. A train came in and turned round while we were there.
We walked past the colourful beach huts, then up past the Scarborough Open Air Theatre.
On the way back we had a pint at the pub just outside the camp site, the Scalby Manor. Not very dog-friendly, we had to sit outside.
Later we had ratatouille for dinner.
