La Gomera - Day 5

In the morning we had a nice view of a rainbow in the hills above San Sebastián.

We packed up and left the apartment, and drove to the car park nearest the highest point on the island, Mount Garajonay. Scott decided to walk the 20 minutes or so to the top of it while Shirley waited in the car.

It was in the cloud for the whole walk, with zero visibility at the top at 1487m. Oh well...

We then drove down to the town on the west side of the island where our next apartment was, Valle Gran Rey.

We parked near the north end and went for a stroll up to the furthest beach, Playa del Ingles. There were "nests" of stones laid out where you could lie down in the sun and shelter from the breeze.

We then had a drink in a bar at the seafront, before driving to our apartment complex, the Charco del Conde. We were still a bit early to check in so we had a walk down to the harbour and beach at the south end of the town.

We checked in and unpacked. It's a studio apartment but it's fine and has everything we need.

We later went out to our local "baby beach" to watch the sunset while we had a beer.

Dinner was roast veg.
