La Gomera - Day 3

In the morning Shirley had what seemed to be flu-like symptoms. After breakfast we picked up our hire car at Cicar at the port, a white Opel Corsa. We drove north to the village of Hermigua and had a stroll down the main street to its church.

We got back in the car and drove to a viewpoint at the coast, where banana plantations go right down to the sea.

We then went up to the Garajonay Park Visitors' Centre. Shirley stayed in the car and Scott went in for a look around. It had geological displays, a museum and botanical specimens from around the island.

We went back to the apartment so that Shirley could have a sleep, while Scott went for a walk into town. There was a large cruise ship in the harbour, which made the ferries look small.

Had a look at the park which has a building called the Count's Tower, and the church Iglesia De La AsunciĆ³n.

Later we had pizza for dinner.
