We left the site in the morning and went in to Fort William to Morrisons for some provisions. We then drove round the top of Loch Linnhe and parked at the Neptune's Staircase car park.
From there we walked along the canal towpath to the lochside.
We walked back up the other side to Neptune's Staircase itself.
After some lunch we drove north, to our booked campsite at Shiel Bridge. After setting up we went for a walk through the tiny village. We passed a field of llamas.
We walked a little bit along the shore of Loch Duich, and across to a tidal island where we saw a seal sunbathing.
After an expensive pint at the Kintail Lodge we made our way back to the site. We passed a herd of goats clinging to the cliff above the road.
For dinner we had salmon, new potatoes, peas and sweetcorn.
