West Scotland - Day 2

We decided to put off climbing Ben Nevis until tomorrow as the weather forecast was slightly better. We caught the bus to the end of the glen at the lower falls.

We walked up the path beside the river as far as we could easily go. There were lots of rocks worn smooth by the water.

We backtracked a bit, crossed a bridge, then walked up the road to the start of the Steall Falls track.

It was quite busy at the falls, and a few people were crossing the wire bridge.

We had some lunch there, then found out that since the water level was so low, it was possible to cross stepping stones to the other side.

We walked back down the glen, all the way by the River Nevis to the campsite, a total of over 20 km.

Later for dinner we had burgers done in the George Foreman grill, with sautéed potatoes and beans.
