We left the van and walked into the village to the bus stop at the main crossroads. We caught the bus to Berwick Upon Tweed and got off just at the outskirts, and made our way to the coast.
We then started walking north along the clifftops. There were various places where we could see nesting seabirds.
We came to the Scottish border.
There was a ruined house.
The first village we came to was Burnmouth, which had a nice harbour. We stopped for lunch at a bench with a view of the harbour.
Further on we came to Eyemouth, which is a bigger town.
There's a very poignant monument to a great storm in 1881 that killed 189 fishermen. It has small statues of the "Wives and Bairns".
Eventually after a long walk we reached Coldingham Bay.
We walked into the village and went for a drink at the New Inn. Unfortunately the only dog-friendly bar was a pretty unattractive one with the pool table. However the cider we had was a welcome refreshment.
We made our way back to the camp site, and later had beef chilli and rice for dinner.
