We dropped Oscar off at kennels in the morning. Our flight to Palermo in Sicily was scheduled for 17:15, so we made our way to Edinburgh Airport long term car park for about 3pm.
Security was busy, but once through we went to Wetherspoons for a drink, There was supposed to be a beer festival on but it only had 2 beers in it, and one was off.
Our flight took off about 45 minutes late, but made up most of the time and landed about 10pm. We caught the train into Palermo central station. It was about a 15 minute walk to our accommodation, the Hotel Columbia. It was up quite a narrow street but seemed pretty close to lots of bars and restaurants.
After dropping off our stuff in the room we went back out to a local bar for a drink.
