Tenerife - Day 4

The forecast was for rain today so we didn't get up too early. We walked into the pedestrianised centre of La Laguna and went to the market.

We then wandered round the streets, and had churros and chocolate in a cafe.

We went into the cathedral where there was a large crowd of young people, we couldn't really work out what was going on.

Later we drove to the Oratava Valley and parked at the Caldera picnic and barbecue area.

We went for a walk in the pine and eucalyptus forest during a break in the rain, we were pretty lucky.

We drove down to the coast at San Juan de la Rambla and saw a natural swimming pool at a viewpoint.

We had a beer at a cafe and drove home.

We went out for dinner to Fina Estampa, a nearby Peruvian restaurant. For starter we had a kind of potato and tuna cake thing, and deep fried yucca with a sauce. The main course was a combination of beef and chicken dishes with rice. The beef was very good, everything else was ok but a bit bland.
