Fife - Day 2

We left the campervan in its spot, and headed for a walk north on the Fife Coastal Path.

We passed the lighthouse and a ruined tower.

We passed the ruined castle and the church on the outskirts of St Monans.

At the harbour we passed the house that Scott and his family used to holiday in.

At the other side of town is a tidal swimming pool, a windmill and old salt pans.

Next is Pittenweem, with its own swimming pool.

On to Anstruther, where we bought a coffee and ate our lunch. Just beyond is tiny Cellardyke harbour.

There are some spectacular rock formations and caves on the way to Crail.

Eventually we arrived at the final town on our walk, Crail. We went to the harbour.

From Crail we caught the bus back to our starting point. Since it was school run time, we had to break our journey in Anstruther, so we took the opportunity to buy an ice cream.

Back at the van we left Elie, and drove to the Larick community camp site in Tayport, where we'd booked in for 2 nights.

Later we had spaghetti Bolognese for dinner.
