Dunbar and Norfolk - Day 10

We left the Sandringham site this morning and drove to Wells-next-the-Sea. The car parks in the town itself were a bit campervan-unfriendly, we couldn't find anywhere. We were directed out of town to a car park at Holkham beach.

From there we first walked inland to the grounds of Holkham Hall and explored a bit. There's going to be a Triathlon there on Sunday so there was a lot of setup work going on.

We walked through the grounds and out the side gate towards Wells-next-the-Sea. Once there we were hungry so we had our lunch sitting on the first bench we came across. Then we had a little stroll through the streets and bought a couple of cakes. We sat at the quayside to have them, while watching the people fishing for crabs.

We walked along the sea wall towards the beach. There was a miniature railway on the landward side.

At the beach we saw the famous beach huts on stilts.

We walked along the coast through the lovely forest of mainly Corsican pines.

We then went to our next camp site, West Runton Camping and Caravanning Club Site and set up. It's a fairly small site, and on a bit of a slope.

Later we had pasta with smoked salmon and pesto for dinner. We went for a circular walk from the site, which took in Ingleborough Hill.
