We finally left Bristol about lunchtime. The traffic on the M5 and M6 was pretty bad, so we had no chance of getting all the was home at a reasonable time.
We chose a spot in the Forest of Bowland just outside Lancaster to spend the night. It was actually quite a spectacular location and we resolved to go back to the area to spend more time there.
