Devon and Cornwall day 15 - Loe Bar and St Michael's Mount

It was raining heavily in the morning, but stopped about 9.30 and was quite sunny for the rest of the day. We drove to Porthleven and walked to Loe Bar, a sand bar separating Loe Pool (a freshwater lake) from the sea.

We walked all the way round Loe Pool, it was a lovely 6 mile walk mostly through the trees.

We had lunch in the van and then drove to Marazion, where they charged us £8 to park the van in the car park! There we walked across the causeway to St Michael's Mount.

It's run by the National Trust so our membership got us in and we saw the house, church etc.

Back in Marazion we had an ice cream as we watched the tide come back in and cover the causeway.

We then drove to Prussia Cove to try a short walk with Amber but she didn't get very far. After a quick drink at the Falmouth Packet Inn which closed at 7, we went back to the site and had tuna and pasta for dinner.
