The best flight times and prices to Chania in Crete that we could find were from Bristol, so we decided to extend the holiday by a day at either end staying in Bristol.
We took a taxi to the airport for an Easyjet flight Edinburgh to Bristol, and took a sandwich with us for dinner.
Pete kindly met us at Bristol airport and took us to Barry's house where we were staying for the night.
We quickly dropped off the luggage at the house and headed out to the Star and Dove, where various friends met for a drink. We ended up going back to Jenny and Pete's after for more drinks. Fortunately it's not an early start on Saturday!
