We left in the late morning and drove to Troon. We went to Morrisons for some shopping and had our lunch on a bench overlooking the sea front.
We'd booked into a C&CC Certificated Site in Loans, a village about a mile from Troon, so we drove there and parked up.
We went for a walk from the site, on the "Smugglers' Path". It went south through woodlands, at one point we found a tree with memorials to (presumably) babies.
The path went over Royal Troon golf course to the beach, and we then walked up the beach into Troon. The walk from Troon back to the site was a bit tedious, about a mile and a half up a busy road.
Later for dinner we had tuna with spinach, tomatoes, pesto and new potatoes.
