Mull - Day 1

We left home about 12 and drove to Morrisons in Stirling for provisions and fuel. Then we drove on to Oban. We were early for the ferry so went up the hill and parked next to McCaig's Tower, which has a prominent position above the town.

After a stroll there we went down to queue at the ferry terminal, our ferry was the 18.10 Oban to Craignure. The boat was the MV Isle of Mull.

The journey took about 45 minutes, passing the Eilean Musdile lighthouse on the way.

After disembarking we drove about 12 miles to park just above the beach at Lochbuie. There were about 3 other campervans there as well. There's an old post office building there with a shop selling local goods and snacks with an honesty box.

We had pasta bolognese for dinner.
