We drove down the coast a bit to Portmahomack, a lovely little village with a beach and a harbour. It started off a little cloudy.
We then did a coastal walk, first walking up the north west side of the peninsula, back to Tarbat Ness lighthouse.
On the way we came across the remains of a whale. Google told us it was a sperm whale that died there in about 2014.
There were some nice orchids.
In the garden of the lighthouse were robot grasscutters.
After the lighthouse we walked down the southern coast to the little village of Rockfield, where we had our lunch.
Then back to the start at Portmahomack, where it was now nice and sunny.
We drove off, stopping at Tesco in Tain for provisions. We'd booked in to the Camping and Caravanning Club site at Rosemarkie on the Black Isle, so we drove there.
We stopped at Chanonry Point to have an ice cream look for dolphins - there were none, the tide was wrong.
We checked in to the site, which is right next to the beach.
