London - Day 1

We're off on a short city break to London by train. We first caught the 9.48 from Linlithgow to Edinburgh, then the 10.30 LNER to Kings Cross.

On the way we crossed the Tweed at Berwick and the Tyne at Newcastle.

We arrive at Kings Cross on time at just before 3pm. We caught the Underground to Hanger Lane where our hotel was, the Premier Inn.

After dropping off our stuff we walked about a mile to Ealing where we had a wander round the shops for a bit. We then went for dinner at a Wetherspoons pub, the Sir Michael Balcon near Ealing Common.

Scott had nachos and a small rack of ribs, Shirley had sirloin steak and chips.

We caught the Underground back to the hotel.
