Lake District and North England - Day 4

We left the site this morning and drove to the village of Rydal, where we parked in front of the church.

From there we walked round the Fairfield Horseshoe. Looking down we could see the cave that was the one "just round the next bend"!

We went round the horseshoe, eventually getting to the highest point, Fairfield. It was very windy there.

Back near the bottom we went through the grounds of Rydal Mount.

After the walk we went to Keswick, where Shirley bought a new pair of walking boots from Trespass.

We had a pint at the Dog & Gun, then went to a car park about 10 miles north of Keswick where we wild-camped. We had lasagne for dinner
