In the morning we drove down to the village of Tarfside to use its facilities, then went back up to the same car park. Today we we climbing Mount Keen, 939m.
The path went north up a fairly flat valley, soon coming across the Queen's Well monument, built for Queen Victoria.
After that the path started climbing steeply. Shirley spotted an adder on the path! But it quickly slithered into the heather before we could photograph it.
At the top it was very windy, and the shelter at the summit was welcome.
We could see across to Lochnagar.
We then walked back to the campervan. The weather stayed sunny most of the day.
We decided to leave Angus and head a bit south, going to Woodlands caravan site in Carnoustie. After setting up we went for a walk into town, first going to the beach.
We then went along to the Aboukir pub for a pint. Back at the campervan we had tuna and tomato pasta.
