We left in the morning and drove to Edzell in Angus. After parking at the north side of the town we went for a walk up the River North Esk.
It was very picturesque walking up the river bank.
The northern part of the walk goes through the Burn estate.
There was a salmon ladder at one of the bigger waterfalls. We saw one fish leap up.
At the far point of the walk is a place called the Rocks of Solitude.
We then walked down the other side of the river, eventually crossing a suspension bridge called the Shakin' Brig.
After getting back to the campervan we drove a little bit out of town to our camping spot for the night, just past Edzell Castle.
For dinner we had chicken curry that we'd brought from home.
