We left Glen Esk in the morning and drove south to Tayport in Fife, via Dundee and the Tay Road Bridge. We parked in Tayport and walked up to a bus stop, where we caught the bus to Wormit, roughly where the Tay Rail Bridge is.
We could see the remains of the older bridge which collapsed in a storm in 1879, killing 75 people who were crossing the bridge on a train at the time.
We we walking part of the Fife Coastal Path, but as it turned out we'd chosen a particularly dull section of it, as it was mostly on roads.
There were a few interesting bits though.
We could could see across to the newly opened V&A museum in Dundee.
As we approached Tayport the path at last went nearer the sea.
We stopped for lunch at Tayport harbour.
Once we got back to the campervan we decided to head for home.

Angus - Day 3
In the morning we drove down to the village of Tarfside to use its facilities, then went back up to the same car park. Today we we climbing Mount Keen, 939m.
The path went north up a fairly flat valley, soon coming across the Queen's Well monument, built for Queen Victoria.
After that the path started climbing steeply. Shirley spotted an adder on the path! But it quickly slithered into the heather before we could photograph it.
At the top it was very windy, and the shelter at the summit was welcome.
We could see across to Lochnagar.
We then walked back to the campervan. The weather stayed sunny most of the day.
We decided to leave Angus and head a bit south, going to Woodlands caravan site in Carnoustie. After setting up we went for a walk into town, first going to the beach.
We then went along to the Aboukir pub for a pint. Back at the campervan we had tuna and tomato pasta.

Angus - Day 2
In the morning we went for a stroll down to the river near the car park.
After this we drove all the way up Glen Esk to the car park at the end and parked there. We were planning to do a walk round the waterfalls past Loch Lee.
We first walked up to the loch, past a water gauging station, Invermark Castle and a ruined church.
It was a nice sunny day though a little windy. We walked all the way up the right side of the loch. At the end we could see what will be our path down later, the Shank of Inchgrundle.
About a mile beyond the end of the loch we arrive at the Falls of Unich. The first one is very impressive.
We carry on climbing up the side of the waterfalls, stopping for our lunch by the water.
We then crossed a bridge and left the stream behind, climbing to the summit of Cairn Lick. As we looked back to the gorge we saw a golden eagle! Didn't manage to photograph it though.
The views back down to Loch Lee were great.
We discovered that there was a very picturesque lochan in the corrie we'd walked round, it's called Carlochy.
We got back to the campervan and decided to stay in this car park for the night.
We had vegetable Chilli for dinner.

Angus - Day 1
We left in the morning and drove to Edzell in Angus. After parking at the north side of the town we went for a walk up the River North Esk.
It was very picturesque walking up the river bank.
The northern part of the walk goes through the Burn estate.
There was a salmon ladder at one of the bigger waterfalls. We saw one fish leap up.
At the far point of the walk is a place called the Rocks of Solitude.
We then walked down the other side of the river, eventually crossing a suspension bridge called the Shakin' Brig.
After getting back to the campervan we drove a little bit out of town to our camping spot for the night, just past Edzell Castle.
For dinner we had chicken curry that we'd brought from home.
