We had a quick pint at Wetherspoons at Edinburgh airport, then the flight left on time at 13.50.
On arriving at Valencia just before 18.00 it was cloudy but warm. After clearing passport control we luckily spotted a number 150 bus outside, so caught it into the city. It was only €1.46 each.
It dropped us off near the central market, which was only a few minutes walk from the apartment. On the way we dropped in to the Market bar for a craft beer.
We got to the apartment about 19.45, luckily just as the host arrived to let us in. It's a lovely 2 bedroom apartment, extremely central with everything we need, and only cost £50 per night on Airbnb.
After sorting out our things we went out for a wander. We had a drink in a bar at the Plaça de Lope de Vega. then tried to get in to a recommended restaurant near our apartment. Unfortunately being Saturday night it was full.
We actually weren't all that hungry so we just went for some chips! Back at the apartment we sat on our small balcony with a drink and watch the busy streets below.
