Fife - Day 2

After breakfast we drove to the village of Ceres to use the public toilet there.

We decided to have a less strenuous day today, and went to visit St Andrews. We parked in the car park next to the Botanic Garden and the Kinness Burn, and went for a walk at the side of the burn.

We walked towards the centre of town and stopped in at the St Andrews Museum.

We went through the Pends Gate.

From there we walked down to the small harbour.

We then went up to the ruined cathedral grounds and had a walk around the cemetery.

Then past the castle, a quick look round the University museum and down to the Old Course.

We had lunch in a cafe called Gorgeous St Andrews, Scott had a panini and Shirley had baked potato.

In the afternoon we went to Craigtoun Park, just outside the town. Scott had spent a lot of time there in childhood so it brought back lots of memories.

It's got a boating pond, a miniature railway, fairy glen etc.

We phoned and booked for 2 nights in a CS site near Cupar, Drumcarro Farm. It was only £10 per night without hookup, and was perfectly fine.

For dinner we had pasta with sauce and sliced smoked sausage.
