On the way down in the car there were lots of news reports of all the flood warnings and heavy rain forecast, so a bit apprehensive about what we were driving in to. However when we arrived at Great Langdale Campsite at about 8pm it wasn't raining much, and we got the tent up in the dry.
We still had time to walk to the Hikers' bar at the Old Dungeon Ghyll Hotel for some food (and beer of course). The rain started while we were there, and continued through most of the night I think. Tent held out well though.
