The heatwave was in full force today, it got up to 41 degrees. It was too hot to do anything much. Scott went on a shopping expedition to see if there was anything to buy that would help, like a fan, or a paddling pool for Oscar. Unfortunately the shelves were bare of that sort of thing.
He passed the market in the town, and the church.
He did manage to buy a water spray bottle which we use to damp down Oscar, but he didn't really like it.
Shirley only wanted to stay in the shade and read/listen to a book.
But Scott was up for a walk, so went along to the coast and then round to the town beach again.
We had the same blue cheese and walnut salad for dinner.
Much later when it had cooled down sufficiently we went for a walk into town, and had a drink at a bar in the main square.
Back at the campervan we watched England play Ghana in the World Cup group stage, it was a goalless draw.
