Great Glen Trip - Day 1

We left home just before 12, the weather was quite cold but still and some sunshine. We drove up the M9 then A84, A85 and A82 to Glencoe, where we stopped in a car park for lunch.

After lunch we drove on to Fort William and had a wander in town. We then checked out a few wild camp spots as the nearest open camp site was back in Glencoe. At top of Glen Loy we tried to stop off-road and got front wheels bogged down in soft mud. We had to use the spade to dig out the mud, but got out eventually.

We parked further down glen next to a water plant.

Then we found out our leisure battery isn't fully charged, so the heating wouldn't come on. So we had a pretty cold night as the temperature fell well into the minus!
