We packed up the car and left the house about 10am, heading south. We stopped at a service station for lunch and a walk with Oscar, then continued on to Asda on the outskirts of Morecambe to shop for supplies for the week.
We phoned the apartment owner and checked he'd be around, then drove the final 10 minutes to Eden Vale apartments, which is right on the sea front.
He showed us round, it has a very large bed in the basement bedroom, with lounge and kitchen/diner on the ground floor. There's also access to a small garden at the back.
After unpacking we went out for a walk along the promenade, passing the Eric Morecambe statue along the way. It was smaller than we expected.
On the way back we went into Embargo, a nice craft beer bar, for a drink.
Back at the apartment for dinner we had a meal deal we'd got from Asda, beef stroganoff with dauphinoise potatoes followed by sticky toffee pudding.
