We drove north to Silverdale near the coast and parked just outside a caravan park. We then set off on a circular walk, first heading down lanes towards Morecambe Bay.
The light over the bay made it very picturesque.
The path skirted the outside of woodland as it headed round.
We came across a very tame robin.
We carried on to the village of Arnside where we stopped for our sandwich in the station waiting shelter.
We then headed inland, walking through some fields that were boggy at times.
At Arnside Tower we stopped for a last snack and coffee, but there were a few very inquisitive horses around which made it a not very relaxing stop.
As we walked back through the caravan site to the car there was a handy dog washing hose that we used to clean Oscar.
On the way back home we stopped at Tesco for some provisions.
Later we went out for a drink at the Morecambe Hotel which was just round the corner from the apartment. A waitress there asked if she could feed Oscar some leftovers. She came out with a huge bowl of leftover roast meat, which Oscar was ecstatic about. We even took some home in a box for his dinner.
For our own dinner we had pizza.
